HEBI Robotics Named RBR50 Award Winner for “Inchworm” Family of Robots
Innovative Mobile Manipulation Solution Recognized for Advancing Flexible and Scalable Automation
HEBI Robotics is honored to be recognized once again as an RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award winner for its pioneering “inchworm” family of robots. These robots consist of HEBI’s smart robotic actuators arranged in a snake-like configuration, and traverse the environment by walking end-over-end with feet that employ suction, magnetics, or other types of grippers to secure contact with the environment. This innovative approach combined with the modularity of HEBI robots transcends the limitations of conventional robots, enabling powerful mobility and manipulation in complex, dangerous, and difficult-to-reach workspaces.
The RBR50 Awards, presented by Robotics Business Review, celebrate the most influential and unique robotics solutions worldwide. The recognition underscores HEBI Robotics’ continued commitment to pushing the envelope of what is not only possible but practical, with robotics.
"We are very pleased to be recognized again by the RBR50 Awards," said Bob Raida, CEO at HEBI Robotics. "We are also very excited about the potential use cases for inchworm-style robots. We can now automate a whole host of tasks that would otherwise require humans to work in hazardous or confined environments.”
HEBI will be demonstrating an inchworm robot composed of its industrial H-Series robotic actuators at the RBR50 Showcase at the Robotics Summit in Boston from April 30 through May 1.
