HEBI H-Series Industrial Robot Solution
CHISLR - Industrial Surface Preparation
CHISLR is a custom robot developed to solve potential operator fatigue for a customer in the metals processing industry. Composed of HEBI H-Series actuators, CHISLR’s HEBI-designed custom toolhead is built to hold either an air chisel or angle grinder.
The robot’s operator controls the robot from a movable safety booth mounted on rails. The movement of the robot is transmitted back to the booth where the operator can feel the work surface via a HEBI Haptic Controller. This allows the operator unprecedented feedback and allows for delicate movements, even with the force of the H-Series arm being applied to the work surface.
The entire system was developed in-house by HEBI engineers. By utilizing HEBI’s platform of hardware and software, combined with existing 3rd-party components like industrial rails, HEBI engineers were able to develop the system with capabilities unavailable to other commercially-available industrial robotic solutions.
